The Chef SMS service ("the service") is operated by Daniel Fenton, a sole proprietor located in Washington, DC. Contact: info@dmfenton.net.
Program description
Chef is a private, invitation-only SMS-based meal-planning assistant. Subscribers receive proactive text messages with meal ideas, grocery suggestions, and dinner plans, and may also text the service on demand for ideas, recipes, and follow-up questions.
How to opt in
Invited subscribers may opt in to SMS after account invitation by completing an optional SMS enrollment form that collects their mobile phone number and includes an unchecked SMS consent checkbox with the disclosures shown on the SMS Opt-In page. SMS consent is not required to create an account, use Chef, or complete any transaction. The service is not open to the general public.
The optional web SMS enrollment form is the only SMS opt-in path Chef uses. Chef does not use SMS keyword opt-in, paper forms, QR codes, verbal opt-in, point-of-sale opt-in, or purchased lead lists.
Message frequency
You should expect up to 10 unsolicited messages per week from the service. Additional on-demand replies will be sent in response to messages you send to the service.
Cost
The service does not charge you for messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
How to opt out
You may unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any message from the service. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To resume the service later, opt in again.

Carriers
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service is available on most U.S. carriers but delivery is not guaranteed in all areas at all times.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to subscribe. The service is intended only for individuals invited by the operator.
Privacy
Information you provide to the service is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at chef.dmfenton.net/terms.
