Optional SMS enrollment form

Consent method

Only invited subscribers can access the real Chef service. They can create and use a Chef account without enrolling in SMS. Chef sends text messages only after a subscriber opens the optional SMS enrollment form, enters their mobile phone number, actively checks the unchecked optional SMS consent checkbox, and selects Enable texts.

End-user workflow

  1. An invited subscriber signs in to Chef with their email address.
  2. The subscriber can continue using Chef without text messages.
  3. If the subscriber wants text messages, they open optional SMS enrollment.
  4. The subscriber enters their mobile phone number in the phone-number field.
  5. The subscriber reviews the checkbox disclosure shown above, including message type, frequency, rates, opt-out instructions, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms.
  6. The subscriber actively checks the unchecked SMS consent checkbox.
  7. The subscriber selects Enable texts. Chef then sends meal-planning text messages from +1 202-953-5088.
