Ingredients
- Pasta (penne or rigatoni)12 oz
- Canned crushed tomatoes1 can (28 oz)
- Heavy cream1 cup
- Vegetable or chicken broth2 cups
- Fresh spinach3 cups
- Garlic cloves, minced3
- Olive oil2 tablespoons
- Onion, diced1 small
- Salt and black pepperto taste
- Red pepper flakes1/4 teaspoon
- Parmesan cheese, grated1/2 cup
- Fresh basil2 tablespoons

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in the crushed tomatoes and broth, then add the uncooked pasta and stir well.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
